Just days prior to the event, the highly-awaited new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet has now made an appearance on Geekbench. The recently uncovered benchmark results has now confirmed majority of the previous spec rumors for the device, which reveals it to be quite a performer, thanks to its updated internals and features.
The particular variant that was just recently spotted is for the Wi-Fi only variant, with the model number SM-T820. There will of course be a 4G LTE+Wi-Fi version that will be released alongside it with the same relative hardware specs and the same Android 7.0 Nougat operating system built-in.
The benchmark results reveals that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, also known for its chipset model number MSM8996. A report from Gear also reveals that there will be a separate variant equipped with an Exynos 7420 processor that will be released in select Asian markets. The CPUs will be paired with 4GB of RAM, which should translate to a highly capable device for either variants.
Other rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 includes a 9.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. The device is also expected to be coming with full S-Pen support and a new UFS 2.0-based onboard storage. The tablet will also likely be coming with a standard USB Type-C port at the bottom and a slightly redesigned body.
Samsung will be holding their 2017 MWC press conference on Feb. 26 to unveil the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The event will also likely include the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S8’s official launch date. Source: Mobilenapps
