Sony is one of the largest global smartphone makers right now, launching fresh new Xperia mobiles every year. With their slick, iconic design, serious media chops and high-end leading camera tech, Sony Xperia phones are some of the best handsets you can buy in the market.
You can even get some solid budget blowers from Sony if your wallet or purse won’t dig deep to a premium device. Sony has an interesting device in the wraps and it’s aptly named the Sony Pikachu.
We’re not really sure how the device looks, but the smartphone has turned up on GFXbench and we can piece together an overall idea of the internals of this device.
Sony Pikachu Smartphone Specifications
According to the GFXBENCH listing, the Sony “Pikachu” comes with 5-inch HD (1280x720p) display. It has 3GB of RAM in it. There is 32GB of native storage in the Sony “Pikachu.”
It comes with an octa-core 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio P20(MT6757) chipset and boasts 21MP of the main camera with LED flash but only 1080p video support. It also has 8MP of selfie camera.
Extra features like GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4G LTE are also expected in the latest device. Furthermore, it will run the latest treat from Google, the Android 7.0. The Sony Xperia “Pikachu’s” claimed to be the Sony Xperia XA 2, a successor to last year’s Sony Xperia XA.
The Sony Pikachu smartphone specs is a mid-ranger, and we have to assume it is not going to bear the mascot’s likeness unless Nintendo has collaborated with Sony. Stranger things have happened, but this one probably just got a really cute name or will be extremely yellow with a lightning tail.
Moreover, Sony is planning to announce five new Xperia smartphones this year too. Alleged flagship Xperia smartphones are codenamed Yoshino, BlancBright, Keyaki, Hinoki, and Mineo. Source: itechpost
